Memories from the past . . .
Do you remember? Have you ever been driving down the road and had someone pull up beside you, and frantically point over at one of your tires and mouth the word "TIRE TIRE TIRE" so you would pull over and check to see if something was wrong? Well I have, and it was never a nice picture to find one of my tires was low on air, knowing I was about to find myself changing a tire. And if the rest of my luck was bad, it was either raining or colder than ice out there.
Do you remember? Doing the exact same scenario as above? Trying to save someone else from a catastrophe? Well I have, and sorry to say, "more than once in my lifetime".
Do you remember? Rushing off to work or to the store, only to find after you've gone a ways that the steering felt kind of mushy? Then find yourself weaving the vehicle back and forth to see if you were dreaming, or was there maybe a tire going down. Well I have, and more than once there was a problem or the tire blew out before I could get stopped in a safe spot.
Do you remember? Pulling a trailer and finding out when you got stopped that the tire had blown? And what about the damage you found from that blowout? I've seen everything from torn off fenders, wiring destroyed, fiberglass missing, and yes even a fire.
I don't find any of the above good memories. Furthermore, with the technology we have today most of those memories may never have happened with a tire pressure monitoring system- 'TPMS'. What I wouldn't have given for a PressurePro system back then!
